This is so depressing.

Oh, hell, I know. It was the line about the bricks being ripped out of the Ishtar Gate that really got to me more than anything--because that would be people specifically taking the bricks, not a tank running over a mosaic. It just seemed dirty.
(Obviously I'm not downplaying bombs hitting hospitals. You know what I mean).
