Major pet peeve.
I hate it when there is a 'CLOSED' sign very prominently displayed, and people look at it, and then, as if the sign is lying or wrong, they start rattling the door like it might secretly be unlocked. Maybe they think that the sign is just for everybody else. Morons.

Totally unrelated to the door rattlers, though they aggravate me to no end as much as the people who think that the person on the other end of the cell phone cannot hear them unless THEY YELL, I need a book recommendation. You are just the person to help me.
For my book club, I have accepted the assignment for the following category:
TIME PERIODS: British Royalty
HELP!! I accepted this because it's out of my usual scope, which is why I'm in a book club. Now I need guidance. I have time, so I can read a couple in advnace to pick one.
Many thanks for any assistance you can provide... I must go now. The book store says they're closed, but surely that can't be right. I'm going to go around to the side and bang on the window. Someone has got to be in there................
