Yes, it's very disturbing. Yet the real issue is, can anyone name a good bookstore these days?

For new books? I have favorite used bookstores, but not one for new--the chains stink, and as much as I want to support them, I'm so unused to paying full price (and so poor) at this point that I have a hard time shopping at small indie places, too. I've just been ordering what I want through the library.
